Its been about a week now that the Wal-mart in Bluffton has demonstrated a concern for the stream of shoplifting that has been going on there. They have started a new "Sticker system".

This very time consuming system consist of the cashier Writing numbers and the date on stickers and putting them on the items that are to big for the bags. The customer then has to stop at the greeter, by the door, and the greeter then has to remove the sticker and place it on their record sheets.

I have heard some customers complaining of the time it takes to check out.

This Wal-mart is known for some long lines in the later evenings. And that was before the "Sticker System" was in effect.

What is this going to mean for customers now? Will we have to deal with the even longer lines? Or maybe the managers will get some more employees to fill the empty registers up so that the process with not effect their lines.

From personal experience the time it takes to get the groceries and stand in line with crying kids whom don't want to be there in the first place. It is worth driving the extra 5-10 minutes somewhere else just to have a smooth visit to do the grocery shopping.

On the other hand I appreciate that Wal-mart is trying to eliminate the shoplifting in order to keep the prices so low. They will hopefully come up with a sure fire way on how to eliminate the problem without creating another one.

In conclusion, for now, if you are looking for a smooth and fast in and out of the grocery store. This Wal-mart is probably not your best bet.
