Walgreens Ends EasySaver Catalog Plenty of Deals Still

Saving Money at Walgreens

Walgreens has ended its monthly EasySaver catalog, but don't despair there are still plenty of ways to save money at Walgreens. Instead of using the easy saver it is not coupons and register rewards that will save you the most money.

Each Sunday morning Walgreens starts a new sales week. Weekly ads can be found in most Sunday papers or online at www.walgreens.com. The ad will feature sales using coupons and sales that offer register rewards after purchase. No more mailing in a rebate and waiting for your money or gift card to be reloaded. Now to begin the saving.

First you need to go through the ad and mark which deals you are interested in. Remember just like grocery stores, Walgreens puts the lost leaders on the front and back pages. Lost leaders are deals stores mark very cheap to get a shopper in the store. Once you have selected your deals it is time to find coupons to match those deals. You can always combine a manufacture coupon with Walgreens coupons. So for example Dawn dish soap is on sale for 99 cents and you have a manufacture coupon for 50 cents off. Your price is going to be 49 cents after using both the Walgreens coupon and the manufacture coupon.

Register rewards are another way that Walgreens offers savings. The manufacture will offer an instant rebate for a certain product. For example: Walgreens has for sale Kellogg's' cereal 2 for $5.00 with a $1.00 registers rewards. You have a $1.00 off coupon for the 2 boxes of cereal. You purchase the cereal for $4.00 using your coupon and after you pay the coupon Catalina gives you a coupon for $1.00 off your next purchase in the store. You have now paid $3.00 for 2 boxes of cereal. Many times there are items that are free after register rewards.

There are a few catches to the Register Rewards that you should be aware of:
1.
You can not loop rewards. This means if you get the 1.00 register rewards from the Kellogg's deal above do not try and buy more cereal for another coupon. It will not work.

2.
They are manufacture coupons so you can not use two coupons for one product. For example if you are buying Ivory soap. You have your register reward for $1.00 and 25 cents off coupon. You can use both on the soap. Now if you have 2 soaps then you can use them.

3.
The subtotal has to be more than the register rewards. You are not able to get money back or have a negative total.

Even without the Walgreens EasySaver catalog there are many great deals to be found. Using coupons and register rewards you can get many products for less and almost free as you did before. Using coupons and register rewards saves the consumer time and money. There are no rebates to mail and no waiting for gift cards to be reloaded. Watching the Sunday ad and using coupons can still get you some of the best deals yet.
