Walgreens Take Care Clinic was a Blessing for Our Family

Walgreens Take Care Clinic Was a Blessing for Our Family. Recently, we moved from a condo in the city to a nice house in a small town. The house was in a state of disrepair, but we were enthusiastic. After all, life in a small town seemed like something that was only a dream to us at one time. We didn't know we would need Walgreens Take Care Clinic. At first, seeing the Walgreens Take Care Clinic signs in our local drugstore made us leery. It was such a small place in the back of the store. I guessed that they probably wouldn't be able to do much at the Walgreens Take Care Clinic other than recommend people visit their family doctor.

The move was going well. We were very tired by the time we had to load the outdoor lawn furniture. It was odd to me that we didn't notice the rusty nail sticking out near the base of our bench, but my son soon noticed it as it cut into his foot. Our local hospital isn't available to our insurance if it's not considered a dire emergency. Our doctor was closed. Quickly, I tore through the boxes to find my son's shot records, and came up empty. My husband mentioned Walgreens Take Care Clinic and I scoffed. "What if he gets tetanus? What can they do? What if it's too expensive" He reassured me that we would find a way to pay for it, and we headed to the Walgreens Take Care Clinic immediately.

The Walgreens Take Care Clinic area was very small. We filled out my son's information on the computer and got our insurance card ready just in case the treatment could be covered. Surprisingly, the receptionist mentioned that we would only owe the standard copay for our insurance plan. We were ushered in quickly, within ten minutes of our arrival. My son's cut was cleaned and bandaged. He was given a refresher tetanus shot as a safety precaution. The nurse practitioner who cared for my son said he didn't need stitches, and she charged us the standard doctor's office copay. I am very happy with Walgreens Take Care Clinic. Now if only they would offer dental and optical!
