I'm writing you a note today
It's been a while since we talked
I've been out of touch lately, and
I'm sorry about that
It's just that something…or someone else
Got a hold of me and now
I'm feeling a just little
lost again somehow
I never thought I'd be here
Alone and outside your love
But maybe that's where
you wanted me right now, anyway
somehow I forgot how to trust You
thinking I could go it alone
my foundation got swept away
by things I thought I could own
I never thought I'd hurt this bad,
Or see myself from the outside
I wish these wounds would heal
Instead they keep opening up
I want to believe you came to me
Just like many others before
Not because you needed me so much
As you wanted me to come home
so if you can forgive me
just one more time
I was wondering if someday soon
You might want to take a walk with me
