If you walk religiously everyday in the Xvest you will lose weight. The Xvest is a vest that you can add weights to in one pound increments. The more weight you add the more weight you lose. That is the premise. It does work but it isn't the vest. It is you walking. Look in a full length mirror at your profile. How many Xvests are you packing naturally? Do you really need to pay to add weight for walking? The key to healthy weight loss is exercise and diet. What do you need to do to loss weight?
Walk to start. Walk thirty minutes a day, fifteen in the morning and fifteen in the evening. Walk at a slightly faster pace than your normal stride for seven and a half minutes then turn and walk back. Make a mental note of how far you walked. On your next walk try to walk a little further, but stop at seven and a half minutes and walk back. You don't need to drop sixty bucks for a pedometer if you have a Timex. Don't try to over exert yourself, just go a little further every walk. If you are serious about losing weight, you will be walking more that twice as far on day 30 than you did on day one. That is phase one, exercise.
Phase two is diet. First eliminate all drinks except for water, tea and/or coffee for thirty days. That includes diet soft drinks. How many grossly obese folks have you noticed sucking down a diet Pepsi? Few people drink the water they need daily so water is the first part of the diet program. If you are a lover of adult refreshments, limit the alcohol to a couple glasses of red wine or a couple of drinks neat or with water, no beer or mixers. All sports drinks are off limits, too much sugar. If you start craving for something different try some cranberry juice or any fruit juice mixed with Club Soda.
Next in the diet phase you have a choice, drastically reduce as in no, sugars and starches; rice, bread, potatoes, and pasta while increasing fruits, vegetables and lean meats. If you are a starch nut, lose the meat and replace it with legumes like beans, peas and nuts plus more fruits and vegetable. Leafy darker green vegetables are the best along with carrots, leaks, beans, peas, squash, radishes and tomatoes. Forget about ice burg lettuce and cucumbers, very little nutritional value. Have four or five mini-meals a day, but stick to the very low starch or very low meat diets with plenty of vegetables and fruits. Having legumes with starches produces protein your body needs without meat. Don't switch hit on the diet, stick to one or the other for thirty days. Milk, eggs, cheese and fish are allowed with either diet selection.
There are no set serving sizes. If you stay on the no starch or no meat diets with the four or five servings a day you will find that you start eating smarter. Drinking plenty of water helps you find your way. Note that there are no snacks for either diet. You will have to forego your Twinkies or doughnuts for 30 days.
Stick to this exercise and diet plan and you should lose about ten to 20% of your body weight if you are over weight in 30 days. The less over weight you are the less you will lose. If this sounds too simple, then spend $150 for an Xvest, $60 for a quality pedometer and up to $30 a day for premeasured diet meals.
Now I want everyone that was planning on buying exercise equipment or diet plans to raise their hands. While your hands are up promise to try this simple older than the hills diet and exercise plan for 30 days before you buy anything. Face it, if you can't commit for 30 days to an exercise and diet plan that costs nothing, what good will dropping $200 do you?
