Decorating the walls of your boy's bedroom can be easy and cheap. This article gives several ideas for creating a boy friendly bedroom wall design that they will love. An extremely simple and classic method is putting posters up over the walls. You can find posters at a local department store or specialty store to suit any boy's interests. Most popular are posters depicting sports stars or music artists. Allow your child to help pick out the posters since he will be spending the most time in the room.

Another simple but possibly time consuming design is painting a mural on the wall. If you or your child have some artistic talent it should not be too difficult to do. Consult with your child to determine a good design or picture and then paint it there. If it turns out bad or you get tired of it after awhile, it is quite easy to just paint over it.

If your child is a sports fan, a very appealing decoration is framed autographed pictures. You can attempt to get autographs yourself by going to events or sending athletes pictures to sign or you can buy some from sports memorabilia stores or online. Not only will your child cherish these pieces of memorabilia but it could possibly be an investment. When your child moves out, sell the photographs on the internet and you could possibly earn a lot more money than you put into it.

If your child likes music, go to a local department store and purchase several packs of blanks CDs. Glue the blank Cds all over the wall. You can have the shiny side out or the non shiny side. You can also do this design with your old records that you are still holding on too.

If your boy is into skateboarding, skateboard decks would look great on his wall. You can find these at most sporting goods stores or on the internet. When you get them, screw them to the wall in a line. They can go vertical or horizontal depending on how many you have and how much wall space you have.

A good idea for your sentimental child is framed family photographs. This way while they are laying in bed they can remember important moments from their childhood and come to appreciate those moments more. You can get photos and frames of all different sizes to make a sort of abstract layout or you can just organize them in rows.

If your child is creative or just wants a place to display their photos or artwork then buy a few bulletin boards. They can tack up anything they want and it is easily changeable. You could also get a dry erase board that they can use to create and showcase their artwork.

No matter what you choose make sure you give your child plenty of say in it since they will spend the most time in the room. Happy decorating!
