Wall Decor for a Boy's Bedroom: Think Sports and Bold Colors

When I think of decorating a boy's bedroom, I think of sports and bold colors. When decorating your son's room, think about his personality, his strengths and so forth. His wall should serve as an expression of who he is, and should be inviting as well, since he will probably be spending a lot of time in there.

Color

Bold colors like red, green, and blue are great colors to paint the walls of a boy's room. Blue would be my favorite. Another interesting idea would be to wallpaper his room. Stripes are bold and interesting. Black and white stripes would give his room a very contemporary and modern look.

Is your son a sports enthusiast? A participant in sports? Try displaying his sports certificates on his wall or hanging medals that he has won from a wall hanger. Paintings of dogs, outdoor activity, a favorite musical instrument of his, masculine animals like lions, panthers, tigers or bears, or whatever is of strong interest to your son are also great ideas.
