Or thinking about anyone

with anything more than casual consideration

I don't like having to care

If someone cares about me or not

I prefer my walls

And the barriers around my heart

And the darkened room I sleep in by myself

I don't like missing someone

Or the feeling of wishing

that someone could be by my side

I don't like any of the things

That you make me feel

When I think about you

But I do like you.

More so than I had ever realized
More than I ever wanted

More than I can bear

So what am I supposed to do

Besides rebuild my fortress

and forget about you
