Wal-Mart Releases Prepaid Cell Phone Plans
Straight Talk by TracFone Will Be Sold Nationwide in Wal-Mart Stores
The main reason is that prepaid phones tend to be cheaper, with subscribers to these plans paying considerably less each month than their postpaid (contract based plans) counterparts. So it only makes sense that prepaid is now seen as a more viable option than it has in the past.
But perhaps the single biggest thing that has pushed prepaid plans into the limelight is the fact that the deals are so darn good. Some of these unlimited plans live up to their promises.
These new prepaid plans Wal-Mart will be selling at its locations across the country are TracFone's Straight Talk prepaid plans. These plans are affordable and run on one of the nation's strongest networks, Verizon, which is an added bonus as many prepaid providers have weaker networks and don't provide great reception for their subscribers.
Straight Talk comes in two plans. One is the Unlimited plan, which for $45, gives users access to unlimited talk time, unlimited text messaging, unlimited web browsing, and all the 411 calls they need. This is all for $45 and the plan runs on a great network.
The $30 plan is considerably cheaper, but still packs some serious punch. For this price, service users get to use 1,000 minutes of talk time, equal text messages (which works out to 33 per day), 30 megabytes of web browsing data, and unlimited 411. One cell phone industry analyst claimed that this plan is the best cell phone plan in the business.
There are a lot of deals out there for people looking for good deals. Do some research and find a plan that you can live with. Look for plans with plenty of minutes and great coverage where you live and work. Straight Talk plans may be a great option, but there are certainly others out there worth a look.
