"Tron: Legacy" director Joseph Kosinski has been tapped to direct the upcoming Walt Disney Pictures futuristic feature film 'Oblivion'. Kosinsky will also produce with "Tron: Legacy" producer Jeffrey Silver, president of Biscayne Pictures. Casting for the film's starring roles is currently taking place at the studio level by the recently promoted Executive VP of Casting for Disney, Gail Goldberg.

"Oblivion" will be executive produced by Barry Levine and Jesse Berger's Radical Pictures, and David Fincher, who as a film director, has achieved huge success with "Se7en," "Panic Room," "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," "The Social Network," and the currently filming "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo". Dave Morrison will also executive produce.

Academy Award winning writer William Monahan penned the script for "Oblivion". Some his other screenplay credits include the feature films "Kingdom of Heaven," "The Departed," "Body of Lies," "Edge of Darkness," "London Boulevard," as well as 10 other projects in various stages of development.
