Now let me tell you about the Magic Kingdom Park, my favorite when I was a kid! Magic Kingdom Park is the park where you are going to see all your favorite Disney characters! Mickey, Minnie, and the whole gang wonder around the park and greet you and stop you to say "Hi"! Not to mention that most of the rides are based on all of the characters from Disney stories. There are rides when you can travel around looking at Pooh! There is the Haunted Mansion which is definitely one of my favorites! You get to ride through a creepy looking mansion and see the ghosts and people that used to live there and still do! You can go on Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger and fight aliens from outerspace! And of course, the big kicker about this park is that it has Cinderella's castle! At night, there is usually a fireworks and laser show right around the castle! It is a beautiful sight to see! I would definitely recommend staying for that. Another thing in the Magic Kingdom that was unforgettable were the sundaes at Mrs. Potts ice cream stand! Oh, they were so good! They give you a giant moist brownie with vanilla ice cream and fudge and lots of whip cream! If I ever go back there, Mrs. Potts will definitely be a stop for me!
Epcot is a place that definitely fascinates me a lot more now that I am older. I think I enjoyed Epcot more the last time I went there when I was a bit older! Epcot is about the different countries of the world. There are sections of this park that are dedicated to specific countries! The countries you can experience while there include Norway, China Germany, Italy, France, Morocco, Japan, and a few others. In France, there is a spectacular place to get desserts! It is called the Boulangerie Paisserie and for me, the caramel soufflé was heaven! It couldn't get much better than that! While in the Germany showcase, don't forget to check out the cute shops with the cuckoo clocks! There is also a great place to eat called Sommerfest where you can get bratwurst and beer, some German favorites and you can get served by people who are clothed in old German clothing! You will definitely want to a take a walk around the Moroccan shops. They have some of the most amazing lamps that I have ever seen. They have light bulbs in the lamps themselves while the lamps are made of stained glass that twisted and turned into different shapes. I am planning a trip back there just for one of those lamps! Epcot is just full of things to, food to eat, and things to look at! You can spend the whole day there and not have enough time to do everything! Just bring your appetite with you because you are going to want to try all great food there and it's so hard to decide what to pick!
Disney-MGM Studios is a park that is dedicated to the production and filming and experience of movies. I think the most memorable experience I had at MGM was the "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids!" show. You go into a theater with these 3D glasses that they give you and you are "shrunk" to the size of the kids in the movie! Then all these things start to come out! There is a snake that jumps out at you and you will really feel like the snake is right in your face! Another great one is the Tower of Terror. You go into a creepy hotel where people have died and go in this elevator and slowly creep to the top! Once the elevator makes it to the top, you are plummeted down to the 1st floor! Something that is new and of particular interest to me is the Journey into Narnia set! This involves you walking through a giant wardrobe and you are guided through the story of the Lion, Witch, and Wardrobe! Hopefully the next time I am in the area, it will still be around!
Walt Disney World is a great place for a vacation - even for adults! I know that when I went there, it brought back the kid in me and made me wish I was young again! The Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney-MGM studios are filled with amazing things to see, fun things to do, and great food to eat! So the next time you are thinking about a trip, think Walt Disney World! The kids will love you for it and even if you don't have kids, it's still a great place for anyone to experience!
