When you book a non-discounted Magic Your Way vacation you can receive the free dining plan offer. This deal is available for reservations in certain dates from October 2010 all the way through September 2011.
Hubby and I visited our local AAA office to reserve our Magic Your Way vacation with the Free Dining Plan. It delighted us to find so few blackout dates. We were able to get our first choice without a problem. Check the list of available dates for this year and 2011 on the Disney website.
Something else that surprised us is the variety of resorts we could choose from. The moderate priced resorts were advertised with the Walt Disney World Free Dining plan. We expected to pay a higher price for the nightly room. Again, not so.
Pop Century is our favorite place to stay. It's also a less expensive value resort. We were surprised to be able to book it along with the Walt Disney World free dining plan.
Two different free dining plan options are available. One is geared more toward romantic couples. The other plan is great for families. You can't go wrong with either of the free food at Walt Disney World options.
Option 1 Walt Disney World Free Dining Plan:
Quick Service Dining
What's to love: The quick service free dining plan offers two quick service meals and two snacks per person per day on select dates.
Anyone who is age 3 and over can use a plan for free food at Walt Disney World. Kids under 3 may eat from mom or dad's plate at no charge. Over fifty restaurants participate. Download a list from the link above. Finding the right restaurants for your family is easy.
Option 2 Walt Disney World Free Dining Plan
Magic Your Way Plus Dining
This plan offers one table meal, one quick service meal and a snack per person, per day on the select dates.
A few years ago, Hubby and I chose this option for free food at Walt Disney World. We enjoyed this plan so much that we chose it again. It's perfect for couples.
The big advantage for us is that it provided one quiet meal a day. The table service restaurants are more upscale than the table service meals. Free food on the Walt Disney World Plus dining plan include restaurants like Wolfgang Puck, Restaurant Marrakesh or table dining with Walt Disney World characters.
This free Walt Disney World Magic Your Way Plus Dining is perfectly suited for couples. Many participating restaurants are romantic. If celebrating, staff will make your free food at Walt Disney World dinner more special with little extra touches.
What's not included in the Walt Disney World free dining plan?
Only a few things are not included. These are all very reasonable. They include
Tip
Alcoholic Beverages
Snacks and beverages at the recreation counters
Merchandise
Glow Cubes
Souvenir Mugs (We were told that the free food plans at Walt Disney World may include this at a later date.)
Free food meals may not be redeemed for cash nor can they be used to purchase photos.
How to track meals used on the Walt Disney World free dining plan.
Hubby and I found this to be easy. Each time you dine the number of free meals that remain is printed on your receipt. If you lose your ticket don't worry. You can get your meal balance at the front desk of the resort.
Using your Walt Disney World free dining plan.
All we had to do was give our room's card key to the server. Everything else was magically taken care of by the staff.
Make reservations early on your Walt Disney World free dining plan.
You can reserve as early as 180 days before arrival. We didn't. At a month out we found that many dates and times at the places we wanted were full.
My final word on the Walt Disney World free dining plan.
I love it! Not only does it save money but it makes the entire vacation experience less stressful. Gone are the budget worries. As long as Walt Disney World free dining plan is available, that's the special offer we'll select.

Post a CommentI hadn't heard of this. I haven't been to Disney World for about 12 years, so I'm a bit out of touch with their vacation specials!

Free is good...
We got the Disney Dining Plan when we went and it was TERRIFIC! Can't believe they are doing it for free - that's a tremendous savings.
This sounds really great, now if I could find a cheap way to get the 7 of us there without 2 days of travel each way that would be fantastic.
