Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is one of Walt Disney World's moderate priced resorts. This particular resort opened in 1988. Rooms are offered with numerous locations and views. You can choose standard rooms, preferred rooms and rooms with a water view. Room prices start at $139 a night in the value season and go up accordingly.

This resort is set up on based on five villages. The five villages are Trinidad, Aruba, Barbados, Jamaica and Martinique. Each village offers vibrant bright colors of pinks, purples, teals, reds and blues. The only exception is the Trinidad area which offers terra cotta colors. Whatever village you stay in, you will feel the Caribbean environment!

There are over six pools at this Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort! You read that right, six pools! You can also use Disney's Old Port Royale pool which offers water slides, waterfalls and more. Lifeguards are not on site at the smaller pool locations. Swimming is not allowed in the lake. Beautiful beaches with palm trees and hammocks will ease your cares away. Watercraft rentals are available at the Barefoot Bay to those over 18 years of age. Enjoy a sailboat, pontoon boat, paddle boat and more. Two seat and four seat Surrey bikes along with regular bikes are rentable too. For a bit of a higher cost water-skiing is also available.

At Old Port Royals there is a food court, sit down restaurant called Shutters, an arcade and a gift shop. Room service is available only on a limited basis.

A Pirate's Adventure Cruise is offered for little ones between the ages of four and ten for a small additional cost. Be sure to call and make a reservation when you arrive.

Walk around and enjoy the feeling of this fabulous resort. Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort's tropical charm will captivate you. You'll notice the lush landscaping through out, giving the resort a special ambiance. Walk across one of the bridges to the island and let the children play or find a romantic spot to enjoy. This resort is spread out among 200 acres! There is plenty of room to wander about and the grounds are beautiful. If you love a tropical feel, this resort will not disappoint you.

Bus service is available to Walt Disney Worlds theme parks, water parks and the Downtown Disney area. Inquire about Magical Express service when making your reservations.

Laundry facilities can be found by the different pool areas.

That was really nice of you to come back and mention that! How sweet! :) I like my information in small bites, so compact pieces are what I look for at times. In fact, I'm heading to Caribbean Beach Resort this month! You are right though, there are so many other things I could have included!

I've been thinking about my comment since I left it and I just wanted to let you know that I wasn't trying to be mean or rude. It was a well written article and I did give it 4 stars. I'm just such a Disney obsessive that I find all these little things that I think make all the difference when discussing a resort. I noticed that you wrote articles on almost every other Disney resort as well as the parks, so you must be one of "us" (the Disney geeks). I have articles on both Port Orleans resorts and Fort Wilderness waiting to be reviewed at the moment. Again, I think I came across as rude and I didn't mean it in that way. :)

You're right, I could have added that flavor as well. :) I didn't choose to write a very long piece on it, I opted for a compact quick look. Thanks for your time.

You could've mentioned the food options in the food court. Caribbean Beach has one of the best, if the THE best, hotel food courts on property. You could've expanded that a bit. You also could have mentioned the tropical island music played throughout, including Jimmy Buffett and steel drums. Each island has its own bus stop; that is something important to mention.
