Narcoosee's is one of Disney World's signature restaurants with a focus on fresh seafood and elegant ingredients. The décor is comprised of simple elegance and cool color tones and creates a calm respite from the parks. They do request a resort casual dress from their guests and this helps increase the "special" atmosphere of the dining experience.
Diners can begin their meal with appetizer seafood offerings including traditional crab cakes, shrimp and crab chowder, calamari, buttermilk fried shrimp and yellowfin tuna. Vegetarians and non seafood lovers have plenty to pick from with a roasted beet salad, heirloom tomatoes and a decadent collection of cheeses. Prices begin around $10 and go up to $16.
The entrees are absolutely luxurious across the board. Narcoosees's menu presents wild king salmon, whole Maine lobster, ahi tuna, and halibut. A tamarind glazed pork chop, filet mignon, free range chicken breast and a tofu vegetarian entrée are also available. And for those who can't decide between the surf and the turf, a combination entrée of filet mignon and butter poached lobster tails is a fine choice. Entrees range from $25 to $60 and are all served with potatoes, vegetables or rice on the side.
When it comes to dessert, Narcoosee's presents a collection of sweets guaranteed to meet every palate. For a touch of fruit, there is the strawberry shortcake and key lime crème brulee . For a more richly flavored dessert, try the housemade gelato sampler or the warm Valrona chocolate cake with blood orange sauce. And for those looking for the ultimate end to your dinner, the almond crusted cheesecake with the accompanying Lambert cherry sauce and fresh whipped cream is truly a Narcoosee's signature.
Children have their own haute cuisine choices at Narcoosee's. The childrens' offerings go beyond the expected macaroni and cheese, chicken nuggets and pasta (although those childhood favorites are represented). Oven baked fish, filet mignon, and Caesar salad proudly take their place next to the chicken soup, cheeseburger and fruit cup. And the sea theme continues through dessert with a Nemo cupcake. There is also the interactive make your own s'mores.
Narcoosee's offers excellent food in a calm and charming atmosphere. And the piece de resistance is the fireworks show outside on the patio. Just across the lagoon every night, the Magic Kingdom Wishes show bursts into the air while the musical score is piped in.
Narcoosee's is a two credit meal on the Disney Dining Plan and is location at the Grand Floridian Resort.
