A green-white-checkered finish after a late race red flag following the final big race found Elliott Sadler and Michael Waltrip leading the field with Miguel Paludo and Jennifer Jo Cobb in third and fourth place.
Michael Waltrip timed a perfect last lap pass coming out of turn four and heading toward the finish line. Waltrip went high as Sadler tried to protect his lane, but Waltrip had enough motor to finish a pass by half a truck length and take his first Camping World Truck Series win, 10 years to the day after winning his first Daytona 500.
An emotional Waltrip gave it up to Dale Earnhardt for everything he had done for him so long ago when he was able to take that first Daytona win.
Sadler took second place and a hard charging Clay Rogers, pushed by Kyle Busch took third place. Paludo came in fourth followed by Busch in fifth place. Jennifer Jo Cobb piloted her #10 truck to a sixth place finish. Her best finish in NASCAR racing and the highest finish ever for a woman in the Camping World Truck Series.
Jeffrey Earnhardt, grandson of the late Dale Earnhardt was able to keep his truck from major damage a brought it across the line for his first top ten in seventh place.
