Does a feeling chip, do two hearts collide?
Do the flowers bloom only for thee?
Do the birds sing to give you glee?
Do the fires burn to make your light?
Do the wind's howls to cause you fright?
If the wind bore an angel,
would you look on in awe?
Would you run to the road,
screaming what you saw?
If the mountains began to crumble,
Crumble, beneath your feet...
...would you shout at the ground?
As it tumbles to defeat.
If you gazed at your soul, deep in your being,
Would you smile or cry about what you are seeing?
Gaze in a looking glass what do you see?
Wondering questions of what could be?

Post a CommentOh, wow! This is the best of your poems that I've read. And yes, the picture of Dorian Gray question is always with me. It is the most important feeling in the world--how you feel about the lines--echoes of experience--furrowing your features.
Wow, I can't believe I missed this, awesome rhythm, great imagery, and a beautiful flow!
Thank you Tiadora, glad you enjoyed it.
