Want to Be Heavy or Light

Every one wants to maintain a trim figure and struggle for weight loss if they measure high in the weighing scale. But they let loose the reins on their gluttony when they see delicious food . They overload the belly, consume the wrong type of foodstuff akin to five star filth and do least exercise except probably that intended for breeding. They yearn for an athletic figure but end up with a gorilla shape.
It is sad that many men and women ignore wake up calls. Eating junk food becomes a regular habit and hobby. These creatures start growing sideways. For every inch of such growth they add five pounds to their already bulging body. They find themselves immobile and move like a baby elephant. Clothes and innerwear take odd shapes adequate enough to accommodate a hippo. These humans get frustrated but do nothing to improve the situation. When they reach their forties they suddenly realize that overweight poses threat to longevity.They are unable to live an active life or engage in physical activity. They try short cuts by way of medicines but what gets reduced is their bank balance and not body weight
Some people are obese by heredity.They eat mercilessly as if they were filling a garbage bag.
They are highly automated individuals getting everything on their seats. Eating or drinking is done to taste and impulse and not out of considerations of health and wellbeing.

Enlightened people at times are wise enough to take a resolution to reduce weight and live a healthy life.
They develop an optimistic outlook towards life, environment and events. They try to maintain cheerfulness, introduce diet and exercise. Walking is the easiest exercise one could undertake. Some start with 2 kms a day and increased gradually to 6 kms. In a month they lose 10 kgs.This gives confidence and encouragement.
They switch over to nutritious food and vegetarian diet. Fruits and raw vegetables are introduced in the menu. Soon they find their weight again reduced by 5 kgs. The new food habits became a regular habit and changed lifestyle. They consume plenty of water and gave up carbonated drinks.
They learn yoga and with proper breathing and physical movements of various poses. They develop a healthy mind by doing meditation. Soon they find their body becoming flexible and of reduced weight. They get stamina and are able to stand any stress and strain without difficulty. This development does not take place overnight. Steady practice for a period of at least one year brings results. A side effect of these efforts is that clothing needs of these people who were in the heavy category feels the impact. The size of clothing and innerwear is reduced to half .They witness muscles being developed. Hypertension and body ache are eliminated. To one's surprise some find that even after twenty years their weight remains constant at 66 kgs for a height. of 178 cms.If some people can put in efforts steadily and shed off excess weight why not all in the category of one toners try, strive and benefit.
