Let's see if I have this right. Terrorists didn't bring down the World Trade Center towers. Terrorists didn't crash an airplane into the Pentagon. It was all a conspiracy dreamed up by George Dubya to kill his own people to gain support in the polls. (Clever move)
Unlike Clinton, who says he did everything in his power to get and kill Mr. bin Laden, Dubya has done nothing to get this guy. (Does the word 'Afghanistan' ring any bells?)
Unlike Clinton, Dubya didn't keep going back to the UN for approval of waging war. He got fed up with the 'let's talk to them, let's have a little diplomacy here, let's throw some sanctions on them' stuff and went ahead and did it his way. (Memories of Elvis here)
Unlike Clinton, Dubya didn't have the support of Republicans and Democrats alike when war was declared. He totally ignored the Dems and went to war anyway. (OOPS, did the Dems reallyvote for war?)
Unlike Clinton, Dubya had his hand on the pulse of America rather than the pulse of an intern. (Does the President swear to protect the people of the United States, first and foremost?)
So, it's not any terrorists who are causing us problems. It is the USA. Dirty buggers. The last superpower left in the world, the 'World's Policeman' if you will, is busy trying to throw a bit of democracy upon us all. I protest.
Osama is not a bad guy. He just had bad parents. I'm not sure which of them should have a time out, so let's impose this harsh punishment on them all.
Let's see, can we make the leap from being a terrorist to finding those who actively support terrorism? Some can, some can't. So when Saddam starts to pay families for their son's or daughter's 'duties', it's Bush's fault for going after him. (I guess Bush too needs a time out)
Let's see, Saddam Hussein, in his 23 years in power put to death about a million Iraqis, in war and through terror, in a country of 22 million people. Yup, looks like Bush is 'The Great Satan' after all. Mr. Hussein even used Stalinist maxims, including what an Iraqi defector identified as one of the dictator's favorites: "If there is a person, then there is a problem. If there is no person, then there is no problem." Words to live by. How true, how true. And Bush has the nerve to go after this guy. What a dictator! If Bush had only followed Saddam's example instead of opposing him, what a wonderful world this would be. The largest number of deaths attributable to Mr. Hussein's regime resulted from the war between Iraq and Iran between 1980 and 1988, which was launched by Mr. Hussein. Iraq says its own toll was 500,000, and Iran's reckoning ranges upward of 300,000. (Over the sake of one letter when you cut to the chase)
Saddam trembled and shouted "God is great" when the chief judge, Raouf Abdul-Rahman, declared him guilty and sentenced him to hang. This is a true statement. God is great in that he found Saddam guilty. I suppose His next greatness will be when He finds Bush guilty of fighting against terrorism. "Long live the people and death to their enemies. Long live the glorious nation, and death to its enemies!" Saddam cried out after the verdict. I didn't think the Americans were enemies until the terrorists brought the whole thing to these shores on 9/11. And Bush has the nerve to take it back to their turf. (Cindy Sheehan, this Bud's for you)
Saddam Hussein urged Iraqis yesterday to reject the sectarian violence ripping his country apart and to "not take revenge" on "invading" forces, his chief lawyer said after the ousted leader was sentenced to death. Gosh, I guess he did find God. That nasty old Mr. Bush must have sold us a bill of goods. Bad, bad Mr. Bush! Cindy's son must have died in vain. That's the reason why she's muzzled and can't rail against you. I know she's afraid of being tortured and having her tongue cut out because you, Mr. Bush, are a dictator.
Now, Ezat Mossallanejad has it right. He vehemently opposes the death penalty for anyone, including Saddam Hussein. "Using torture or the death penalty against one person, even on an exceptional basis, destroys our hopes and aspirations for living on a planet in peace," said the Canadian Centre for Victims of Torture counsellor, who works with Iraqi torture victims. Wait a second. Who tortured the Iraqis, and why would they need a counsellor? Oh yeah, I forgot my place. It was Mr. Bush who tortured them. (Glad we got that straightened out)
"The death penalty serves no purpose; what's really important is the recognition of Saddam's crimes, not killing him," he said. Hit the nail on the head there, didn't he? I suppose most of us could recognize a crime when we see it. Dubya sure did. But Dubya got him captured and put him on trial before an international panel of judges. I think if Saddam was tried under Muslim rules the trial would have lasted about half a day, sentence carried out by 2 PM (allowing an hour for lunch) and everyone could be home in plenty of time for dinner. By dragging this thing out so long, George W. deserves nothing less than our utmost contempt. Imagine the hardship Saddam endured all this time in captivity. George sure is a tyrant.
"Hussein is a genocider and should be sentenced to life imprisonment," said Mr. Mossallanejad in his best imitation of Neville Chamberlain. In his corner is Pakistan, where an opposition religious coalition claimed U.S. forces have caused more deaths in Iraq in the past 3 years than Saddam did during his 23-year rule and insisted Bush should stand trial for war crimes.
And so he should. How dare he try to bring some democracy into a land known for treating women as less than second class citizens. How dare he avenge the Kurds, Christians and Shi'ites who suffered at the hands of this man.
The Dems are right. This is all George's fault and the sooner we replace him with someone like Kim Jong Il the better off the world will be.

Post a CommentS L and Nathan, thanks for the support. I intend to keep writing here. I enjoy the comments from the Dems. It's like a little holiday when you get to take them apart. It really doesn't take much. S L, I'll see you on your blog. I enjoy your writing too much to lose contact now. Jeff, I know you'll cut and run so I don't have to say anything to you.
Aww...S.L....that is too bad-frankly, I like your comments, it's really easy for the rest of us to sound smart..lol will have to drop by the blog...
Great article!!! Really, I enjoyed every minute... I laughed, I cried.... but mostly I laughed. You hit the nail on the head and even though the dems may get their way (which would be sad for not only our nation but all those who depend on us) I only hope people begin paying attention to truthful and honest commentary such as yours in the process... maybe oone day we can put this country on the right track again. It was jy pleasure to read your work Youranter... please keep it going regardless of the schmuck behavior we have all witnessed here.
Most excellent, Youranter!!!! You nailed the smarmy buggers again! Quick side note: I am leaving AC because of ridiculous allegations (unproven and unspecified as usual)and sticking with my blog. At least there I don't have to deal with Tiffany, Jeff, Paul, Tim, etc. and have the right to do more than "remain silent." The liberals and Bush-haters can have it... but thank God there is you (and others) who will keep telling it like it is and making them look like the jackasses they really are. This elephant is so disgusted my trunk is curling!!! Keep in touch!
