The problem is that when I asked this man about Jesus what was clear is that he truly believed, and I am now thinking that the reason why the spiritual advisors could not drive the spirit out is because it was the Holy Ghost. I told the man that the kind of spirit that he had was not something that could be driven out, and what was obvious is that he only needed to go to a church to worship God. I thus gave the man directions on how to go about social networking in order to begin to build a church because what was in his aria did not promote health in any regards by his description.
The problem is that so many churches around the US and other host nations see their neighbors as Satan's servants that when those churches pay money for evangelist to go on their own into other places that the results are often that church just convert people from other churches. I fear that what happens is that churches in those arias thus become predatory to one another as all they do is just keep converting people from one church to another. How Jesus is not ashamed of this I do not know; moreover, perhaps he is very ashamed of this.
The point is that the more hollow that church assimilation becomes as a practice the more likely stories like the one that I just told will occur. Church assimilation could be utilized as nothing more than a business practice performed by a business that has its only objective in being monetarily profitable. What I am talking about is not the ideal Christian church.
Some churches for example will treat people like scum when new people attend, but those churches will put huge efforts into exact assimilation practices along with evangelism. Once the victims are hooked, then the only message is how to make more money as well as the responsibility of the members to bring in that money. Sometimes the only reason why people keep attending is because they are trapped in a huge psychological game that plays on people's pride, since of dignity, and desire for public recognition.
Even when people surrender to Jesus Christ, if all they know about Jesus is that he was a good man that died and that people said that he arose from the dead, then they will be sadly mistaken when reading the Bible to find that Jesus did a lot more than that. Jesus denounced cities, Jesus spoke about damnation, and Jesus also spoke directly against established authority.
The point is that although Jesus was born, died, and arose from the dead, he does not fit the popular conception of Jesus that my fried for example would call 'buddy Jesus' in that he is often depicted in some fantasy while smiling with lots of children of all kinds of races gathered around him in play. The point is that if the church evangelizes with a false conception of Jesus, does assimilation with a false conception of Jesus, and then does discipleship with a false conception of Jesus, then all three works are worthless. Overall, although assimilation has value as a tool, it should not be used as a business strategy.
