Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning - The Marauder Class

Tulle
The Marauder class of the Destruction realm is one of the highest DPS producing classes in all of Warhammer Online. Their repetitive yet effective styles put them at the top of the most effective classes in the game, right next to Black Orcs. With an abundance of utility abilities such as snares, throw weapon, and even a unique ability which allows Marauders to charge towards enemy at one of the fastest speeds in the game. Combine this ability with the global core ability of sprint and you have yourself the fastest moving ground speed in the game.

In addition to these high damage styles, we have an abundance of morale abilities which only add to our DPS. The first morale ability is an instant direct damage of almost 1000+ which is ridiculously powerful for such a pure damage class.

There really is no competition versus a Marauder. With the combined speed of charge and flee, a Marauder can escape from any situation or arrive on scene for battle in the blink of an eye. Unfortunately Marauders face a relatively severe downside. They lack a major defensive ability which opens them up to a quick death when engaging in large fights. Fortunately the game developers have countered this weak defense with a nice hit point boost which really shines in fights.

Fortunately the Marauder doesn't have to rely on defense to win its fights. With its insanely high damage output, there is literally no contest in a one on one fight. Even in large group fights, a marauders combined abilities will let them drop any opposing enemy without hesitation. With their provocative play style, your group is ensured a victory in most fights.

In conclusion, Marauders are meant to be played as a damage class and not a tank class. This is why it's important to be aware of the game before creating a Marauder, otherwise you will find yourself in situations where the Marauder is useless. Unlike the Black Orc, the Marauder is unable to adapt to certain situations and as a Marauder, you will usually find yourself in a fixed position which can generally be quite boring and can quickly persuade a person to develop a loathsome attitude towards the class. Fortunately it's highly effective damage output will provoke the enemy to develop a loathsome attitude towards you as well, which in some cases can be exciting.

I still think Warhammer is way better then WoW but the numbers do not seem to show it. I wonder if it is because Warhammer does not seem to be advertised as much as Warcraft.
