Everyman Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures are teamed up for a political comedy feature film titled "Dogfight". The main starring roles are being cast in Los Angeles, and smaller supporting and day player roles are being cast in Louisiana. The extras, stand-ins, and photo-doubles for the films principal actors will all be cast in Louisiana. In Louisiana, there are over 58 speaking roles being cast and the extras casting director has issued a casting call for thousands of paid extras roles.
The film's stars are Primetime Emmy nominated Zach Galifianakis and two-time Golden Globe nominated Will Ferrell. "Dogfight" is about two politicians who are playing dirty tricks on each other to win a position in a small congressional district in South Carolina. The film has previously had working titles of "Southern Rivals" and "Rivals".
Two-time Primetime Emmy winner Jay Roach will direct "Dogfight" from a script written by two-time Writers Guild of America WGA Award nominated Chris Henchy. Roach's directorial credits include "Recount," "Meet the Parents," "Meet the Fockers," "Dinner For Schmucks," and the upcoming "Game Change". He has also produced such films as "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy," "Little Fockers," "50 First Dates," "Borat," and "Bruno".
