Warner Bros. Pictures 'The Dark Knight Rises' Open Casting Calls in Pittsburgh
Casting Directors Seeking Extras of All Ages and Types
The third and final installment in Christopher Nolan's Batman film series is currently in production and the Pittsburgh casting directors are holding open casting calls for extras, stand-ins, and photo doubles. The Pittsburgh portion of shooting on "The Dark Knight Rises" will take place from July 28, 2011 through August 21, 2011 on a Wednesday through Sunday schedule. Many of the scenes are filmed during the day, and some are at night.
"The Dark Knight Rises" is currently filming in Croyden, UK and then will move along to Glasgow, Scotland in late June, 2011. Production will return to the U.S. in mid-July where filming will continue in Pittsburgh and then in New York.
The Screen Actors Guild currently lists the total filming schedule for "The Dark Night Rises" as May 6, 2011 through November 14, 2011. The release date is scheduled for July 20, 2012.
