Warning on Applying for Freelance Financial Writers Position at Yovia.Com

Laurie Tam
One of the articles that I had it posted on here was somewhere in August 2009 about upfront payment sites that would pay you. And the truth is that this lady doesn't pay me and the other writers at all despite what she posted on a few sites claiming to pay $50 per posting. I did four in August 2009 and because she didn't pay me, I decided to forget about it and let it go. I have other things to do besides wasting time on a site that would never pay me and the other writers.

To start off on how this happen on getting this position was as always, I check the job boards for blogging and writing jobs. I applied at the one posted on Problogger at the time and she stated that she pays $50 per posting. She got me and the other financial writers writing samples and claim that she was happy to see our writing on financial matters where she seem like she accepted all of us. I don't know what writer got rejected by her.

She had us sign up for the TradeKing account claiming that that way she would be able to track us. I personally didn't deposit any money there since I assume she would pay me. I had made some friends at the site that was outside of the financial matters and despite that, I am planning to still interact with these people and just forget blogging for them.

In short, I suggest that you stay away from applying to write for them since they had rip me off and the lady didn't have the decency to email me back and more than likely all of the people that emailed her despite that she claim of where if we have any questions, don't hesitate to ask her. Well, I didn't see her keeping her promises coming from her end. I think that she just uses writers like us and to not take us seriously. No matter how busy we all get, there is at least show some decency to reply back about something if you don't want to look bad or to not even bother posting at all for everyone to see.

How you can avoid such thing as in this case is what you should do by applying at just the legit companies that you are very familiar with and not to work with the really new ones unless there were good reviews from other writers. Constant Content, Associated Content and Ehow are some of the legit sites to write at but I will admit something here. I am giving up on writing articles for Ehow as I had stated in one of my other previous articles here. Like me, there are other writers on there that are mad at them for deleting some of the articles that made them money.

It is terrible that some people will take advantage of us freelance writers. They just don't care about how hard we work.
