Warning - Gardasil May Be Hazardous to Your Health

Foaming at the mouth, shock, seizures, paralysis, coma-even death have been reported as a result of taking the vaccine Gardasil from Merck & Co., widely advertised to protect women from some cancer associated with sexually transmitted HPV. But it appears this fast-tracked vaccine, targeting females as young as eleven and aggressively promoted by Merck & Co. and many school systems, may not be safe.

Besides the fact that Gardasil is promoted, even for women who are not sexually active, the vaccine itself is causing suffering for a growing number of families.

Peter J. Smith, in an article for www.LifeSiteNews.com, wrote, "One death per month is the average loss of life associated with the cervical cancer vaccine Gardasil according to an FDA report obtained by a government watchdog agency."

Judicial Watch found that the FDA received numerous reports of Gardasil associated adverse reactions, even death. According to this public interest group there have been maybe as many of 20 deaths due to the Gardasil vaccine.

Merck & Co. that produces the vaccine Gardasil stands to gain billions if they can get schools, organizations and doctors to promote, even mandate, the vaccine. Unfortunately, in an attempt to beat out other companies working on similar vaccines, Merck & Co. rushed through testing trials needed to ensure a safe as well as an effective product. In effect, those who receive this vaccine are the test subjects. But some of these young women "test subjects" collapsed soon after receiving Gardasil. Some are in a coma, some paralyzed...some dead, leaving families wondering how this could have happened.

According to Smith, "Judicial Watch also found 8,864 Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) records associated with Gardasil, more than double the 3,461 events that had been reported with the HPV vaccine in Fall 2007. Many experienced outbreaks of genital warts from the HPV vaccine....A VAERS report from a physician stated a female patient was inoculated with a dose of Gardasil and, 'Subsequently, the patient experienced a coma and is now paralyzed.'"

While Merck & Co. certainly must shoulder blame for this situation, especially considering their aggressive "One Less" advertising campaign, the FDA must also shoulder blame for allowing the fast-tracking of this potentially harmful vaccine.

Can you image the anguish of a parent who believed the ads from Merck & Co.or the advice of schools and doctors and had their daughter vaccinated with Gardasil only to discover cancer was the least of their worries when their child collapsed, foaming at the mouth. What about the families who ended up planning a funeral rather than a future for their child?

Will all women who take the vaccine Gardasil have adverse reactions? No. But there is no way to tell who will suffer from taking Gardasil or how serious the reaction.

It is time the FDA and Merck, as well as schools and medical personal stop promoting this potentially dangerous vaccine and any others like it from other companies until a safer formula is found and adequate testing done.

For now, don't listen to the hype from Merck & Co. or any one else promoting Gardasil. Gardasil is like playing Russion Roulette, not something I'd recommend for anyone I know-especially my own daughter.
