Warning! What You Wear May Be Making You Fat!

You've probably never thought of this but when we don't take pride in what we wear and how we dress that can affect what we do, how we think and the choices that we make. Our mind is a powerful tool. Read on to find out just how powerful it can be!

When you wear big comfy clothes you may have a tendency to not try as hard to watch what you eat or what you do. If you wear your "fat" clothes you may subconsciously try and fill them, or you won't think twice about eating that second piece of cake. The mind can play tricks on us and in my opinion it is psychological. You have heard the phrase. The power of positive thinking. There really is power in how you think.

Women have a tendency to not wear clothes that actually fit their body. In most cases they are a size smaller than they actually think. If you constantly tell yourself that you are fat or a slob then that is what you will become. I believe you have the power to think yourself thin.

Same with clothes. If we treat our bodies like it is fat that is what it will become. When you feel good in what you wear you feel better about yourself and will lean toward making better choices. We are our own worse critics. We would never let anyone talk to us the way we talk to ourselves.

We also would never treat another body like we treat our own at times. Now occasionally we all want to wear our frumpy comfy clothes and that is great because I enjoy it but to make it your wardrobe of choice all of the time will work against you, not for you. The bigger the clothes the bigger they make you look.

It basically comes down to how you feel about yourself. You don't have to be a size 2 to feel confident and happy with the way you look. It is all about accepting yourself and embracing the body God gave you. When we feel fat or depressed we don't care as much about what we wear or how we look and we don't care what we eat. We tell ourselves we already are fat so what is another cookie? When we are feeling like this we have no desire to take pride in our look or our clothes.

Learn to love yourself and start taking pride in how you dress and what you wear and be proud of being you. If you do have a few pounds to lose you may be surprised to find those pounds start coming off once you change the way your dress and how you think. It all starts in the mind.
