Warped Tour 2010 Highlight: Dropkick Murphys

Tony Steadman
Dropkick Murphys was created in 1996 in Quincy, Massachusetts. Since then they have begun to be best known for their support of the working class. Their beginnings was starting out playing in a friend's barbershop basement. Now they are on a world wide tour and is feature for last half of the Vans Warped Tour.

Dropkick Murphys are most associated with their annual St. Patrick's Day concert. Their hit, Shipping Off To Boston, was featured in the Martin Scorsese movie, The Departed. The song was a hit. I've listened to a few of their albums, Blackout, The Warrior's Code, and The Meanest of Times. I must say that their musical style are extremely intense. You will be soon be jumping up and down and asking for a pint of Guinness. They make anyone proud to be Irish or from Boston. If you are neither then just share in the brotherhood. It is sad thought, they are only able to be part of Warped Tour 2010 on August 7 and the rest of the stops in August. I would love to see them live at one of their legendary shows.
