Contagious
Do you say that warts are contagious? Yes. The HPV attempts breed around ponds, public toilets, swimming pools and dark and shady places wherein moisture prevails. When compared with other types, the genital warts are considered as most contagious. You may be touching the wart or the infected area and you may even touch the other part of your body un affected by warts and there is every chance to get yourself re-infected. It may spread to someone if that individual has low immunity. So take care in not using others' clothes like towel, handkerchief or safety razor and remember to wear footwear while loitering in these areas.
Infection
How HPV infects? The HPV always make attempt to infect the epidermis or outer most layer of your skin. Once the virus is able to gain entry into your skin layer, it influences and accelerates rapid growth of cells on the outer layer of skin. As a result a wart appears on your skin. The warts may take their own period of time to grow and mature - some times within a month and some times beyond a year.
Diagnoses
How to recognize warts? Warts show growth in different sizes and shapes. On some body locations it may show bulged growth with coarse skin surface and some other locations it may be flat and smooth skin. As told earlier warts get their blood vessels. You may notice a tiny dark spot at its center. They may measure less than a half-inch. Mostly common warts develop on the hands. However it may develop on any part of the body.
Warts can occur in a variety of shapes and sizes. A wart may appear as a bump with a rough surface, or it may be flat and smooth.
