Knowing my husband couldn't reach his wallet in his back pocket with me sitting so close behind him, I stood up on the back footpegs. Just as I stood up, without warning, we were waved through without having to show a license.
As the motorcycle sped forward I was suddenly sitting in mid-air!
With a THUD I landed at the feet of one startled Patrol Officer!
Still in shock, I found myself looking at his shiny dress shoes and following the crease of his pant legs upwards. The startled officer reached down to help me up while barely controlling his amusement.
"Miss, are you alright?, He asked with laughter in his voice.
Meanwhile, up ahead, my husband finally realized I was missing! Turning his bike around he came to a hurried stop in front of the officer and me and asked, "What the H--- are you doing back here?"
Glaring at him, I jumped on the back of his motorcycle and we drove away.
I can only imagine the conversations back at the Patrol office that evening! My husband and I had our own conversation over the event and that was the last motorcycle ride I have ever taken!

Cute Story!
LOL Too funny. I'm glad you weren't hurt.
Now that's funny! My wife would have had me arrested for something if that was us!
Ummm, you are supposed to ride the cycle not the pavement...guess that's what happens when you aren't ready for the bike to move, huh?
sounds like something that would happen to me!
Great story! I bet you have amused many a social gathering with it.
I love, "Boy, was my face red" stories! I read them in Women's World all the time! I have some good ones too, I could publish, but I did not think you could publish stuff for under 400 words, so now that I know, maybe I will get mine on here too! Thanks for sharing!
Love the story.
