Was There a Sexual Componant to Michael Jacksons Addiction to Propofol?

JAMIE MYLES
According to a newly unsealed search warrant affidavit from Houston where police have been searching property of Dr.Conrad Murray , a lethal combination of drugs were detected in Michael Jackson's body. Among them was a lethal dose of propofol.

Cause of death has been ruled "homicide" by the Los Angeles County coroner according to source.

The extremes Of drug abuse by the pop icon are mind boggling. His dependence on propofol was unheard of by most doctors and others. "People stop breathing within seconds of being given the drug." Such qualities make the drug an extremely unusual choice for abuse, said Dr. Jeff Guy of Vanderbilt University, who said such a practice would represent "a quantum leap in the issue of substance abuse."

However, for all its risks, Dr. Nearman, department chairman of anesthesia at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Ohio, points out that many patients who've experienced the drug describe it as producing "a very pleasant sleep" that "has the potential to be habit-forming." Dr. Bruce Goldberger, chief of forensic pathology at the University of Florida, notes further that the drug "also acts as an aphrodisiac in men. It has been reported that men have very vivid sexual dreams while under Propofol anesthesia."

Dr.Nearman further said "Using this drug for a insomnia is sort of like using a shotgun to kill an ant," Dr. Howard Nearman, told FOX News.com. "How someone could get a hold of this medication and use it for the purpose that he allegedly used it for - is just incredible."

Because Propofol is used only in hospital settings it had to be taken from a hospital pharmacy or an outpatient surgery center. You cannot walk into a drugstore to get this powerful anesthetic.

Michael Jackson's personal Physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, who administered the drugs, may very well be charged with manslaughter in the death Of the pop star.
Now the King of pop Is entombed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California along with other A- list celebs that have died.
Elizabeth Taylor, former child star Macaulay Culkin, Rev. Jesse Jackson, Rev. Al Sharpton, former child actor Corey Feldman, Lisa Marie Presley , Marlon Brando's son Miko and comic Chris Tucker were among those who attended the services at Forest Lawn September 3, 2009 at invitation of the Jackson family. He was laid to rest ten weeks after he was found dead from an over dose of a combination of drugs.

Very informative article on Michael's death and explains other reasons why he may have took Propofol. I was just astounded at all the different pills that Michael was given that evening supposedly for insomnia. Most of us would have been out cold from all those depressants. Thanks, for the interesting article, Jamie.

Great report on this, it makes you wonder who in their right mind would want to take this sort of medication and why. But then how scrambled was his mind to do some of the things he did to his body?

I haven't heard of a theorized sex-drug component with MJ...but it wouldn't surprise me. I hope that doctor is charged, tx for the report Jamie.

Proponol? Just makes the whole event of Michael Jackon's death even more tragic.
