2010 New Year's Gala
No place better to introduce yourself to the multicultural community that is Washington D.C. than at the International Club of D.C.'s New Year's Gala scheduled to kick start on December 31st at 9p.m. The black-tie and cocktail event is a repeat of a successful phenomenon that was the talk of the town last year! Held at the Wardman Park's Marriott Hotel with the classiest atmosphere this side of Casablanca, Tokyo, Jamaica, Havana, Dublin, Paris, Chicago and Moscow-the event organizers hope to have you immersed in all the cultures listed above and beyond.
For the early birds there's a VIP entry at 7:30, making the blend of International music, cuisine and dance even more unbelievable.
Tickets start at $99 with hotel rooms starting at $149. For more information visit the International Club DC website!

The Short-list
If the mood for dancing is really in your step then the following might be just the ticket you're looking for. While the events aren't as lavish as the International Club's gala event, they will prove themselves just as much a worthy contender, even being more down the mid-range in terms of affordability while bringing more of the "Private Event" flavor to the plate.
Dushor's located in Bethesda, Maryland is holding a gala of their own featuring dancing, live performances, contests, open bar and much more. Open early from 7:00pm and lasting until 1:30, the ticket priced at $80 per person or $70 if pre-registered. Visit their website for more information visit Dushor Dance.
Dance Factory of Arlington, Virginia is promising an elegant show of dances, door prizes and party favors on the eve of 31st between 9:00pm to 12:30pm. The price is set for $24 at the door or $19 if you purchase ahead of time. To book or to ask for more information on the event, call (703) 528-9770 or click here.
Saving Best for Last
While I may just go on a whim and spend some quality time with the family on New Year's Eve instead of hitting the town. That may just work for any of you but the truth of the matter is that there happens to be too many events going on in Washington DC and surrounding areas - far too many to list!
My suggestion? Hit Club Zone and see for yourself what's out there.
What matters is that you enjoy yourself and live life in celebration of both the final seconds of 2009 and in welcoming the future of 2010!
