Washington Redskins and the Superbowl

PBInc
Are the Washington Redskins ready for the Superbowl? The Redskins have improved some this year. They have a new coach, Mike Shanahan. He seems to bring an old school mentality, run often and then pass. Running is great, if you have a running game. However, the first four games there was a lack of running for yards. They attempted to run but to no avail. They released Willie Parker and Larry Johnson because of the lack of rushing yards or progress with the team. Then they attempted to start running Clinton Portis more despite him battling several injuries.

He struggled with running the ball, and leaving the game constantly due to his injuries or coaches decisions. Just why he left the game as often is still unknown. However, he later had to leave the game for weeks due to his injuries. While the team has been doing the running back shuffle, they may have come across a gem in Ryan Torain. Since Portis has been out, Torain has increased the running yards, and rushing touchdowns for the team.

There also was an offensive and defensive coach change. The offensive coach is now Kyle Shanahan, and Jim Haslett is the new defensive coordinator. The offense has improved some. The offense has still struggled. However, they're points average has improved. Although, there is a new offensive coordinator, there are still discrepancies with who is actually calling the plays. There have been so many inconsistencies with the play calling. While with the Houston Texans, Kyle Shanahan preferred to pass big and often. As for the defense there is only one big thing that is wrong and that is the 3-4. Where is the 4-3?

The Washington Redskins also got a new quarterback. They traded off Jason Campbell and gained Donovan McNabb. McNabb so far hasn't been consistent as a quarterback. He has struggled getting passing touchdowns. He has struggled with passing accuracy. However, he has helped to pull off some wins. Will this team make it to the Superbowl?
