Wasting Government Money

Why should I have to literally pull my junk mail out of my mail box that is stuffed. All of the mail I pulled out went directly into the garbage bag I took with me to get the mail.

Such a waste of money. I think of so many families that could benefit from the government money saved if there was a program that could feed them, instead of spending money delivering junk mail?

I read that many of the programs for the poor is being changed or shut down for lack funds. Maybe that money that they need, is part of the money spent to go for mail delivery that is not wanted, not asked for and lands up immediately in the garbage.

I also think that just because politicians are running for office, they should be allowed to email anyone they want, like me! If I wanted to vote for them I would without them contacting me by daily phone calls and mail.

What happened to the individuals privacy rights? Just because I registered for a political party does not mean I want to vote for every man or woman who runs in that party?

I voted for President Obama. Yes I did! Does that mean that I have to get an email from someone or other, every day, inviting me to his birthday party? Did he ever come to my birthday party? Did he even respond to my message I sent him. Read it. It is on my AC article? No! he totally ignored my plea. So why am I invited? Do they think I want to buy him a birthday gift? What did he buy me?

There is too much waste of Federal Funds that could be put to good use. Feed the poor - save 'our children' and not merely those in other countries.

Give the teachers better salaries. When I went to school school supplies and books were totally paid by the state. Why should the teachers, who barely earn a living, have to pay for students books and other teaching supplies?

One way to save money, is to stop sending me junk mail!! I do not read it. I do not want it. I know who I want to vote for! I know where I want to shop and what I want to buy. I get a catalog every few months filled with pictures of heavy winter garments. C'mon! I live in the state of Florida! where even a tee shirt is too hot to wear.

I am not saying that all the postmen should be fired! They need to make a living as well. However, cut the mail delivery down to 5 days a week, give the postal workers a useful job, and stop delivering junk mail that instantly is tossed into a plastic garbage bag that ends up by polluting the water.

Then they, (whoever 'they' is), want to know why the garbage dumps are overflowing?..I give up! It is a losing battle!
