"I got so caught up in the moment of the song that I lost my place," said Aguilera, as reported at Us Magazine. "I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of its anthem still came through."
Is it hard to believe that the 30-year-old singer, standing in the middle of a packed Super Bowl stadium singing one of the most beloved American songs, could lose her place? For some, it has been, especially when singers are paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to do it.
But perhaps those who can't forgive or forget should watch Christina Aguilera in her National Anthem rehearsal as seen at TMZ. In it, we can see that Aguilera gets it right and does it with the incredible voice that got her famous.
Unfortunately, Christina Aguilera's National Anthem mess is not all as of late. She has had her share of current trouble and the rumors associated with it, as Megan Morris reported in "Is Christina Aguilera Spiraling Out of Control?"
She broke up with her husband Jordan Bratman, but allegedly let new boyfriend Matt Rutler move in even while Bratman was still living at her house, apparently for the sake of Aguilera and Bratman's son Max.
She reportedly shouted and grabbed at "Burlesque" co-star Julianne Hough while the two were at a party in West Hollywood, allegedly threatening to destroy Hough's country music career.
In addition, Aguilera and Rutler allegedly showed up uninvited at Jeremy Renner's 40th birthday party. They apparently got drunk and crashed for a bit in Renner's bed.

Post a CommentI think it was over-analyzed because in general, people found this Super Bowl and entertainment to be boring compared to most. I find it perfectly understandable that she could get nervous and make a mistake.Yes, she is getting paid a ton to do this but what else compares to doing the National Anthem at Super Bowl in the US? Yes, she screwed it up but it's an honest mistake that can come from nervousness alone. The fact that people tried to say her flub was an insult to American and patriotism was just silly. Walk a mile in her shoes and then tell me you can do better. I support her and I feel bad for her embarrassing mistake.
I feel sorry for her. Can you imagine screwing up in front of that many people?
