Lost is a very popular series on ABC. It is an Emmy winner as well as receiving the Golden Globe Award. A total of six seasons have been planned for this popular series, but the writers strike last year set the show back a couple episodes. In the spring of 2009 season five should begin and a seventeenth episode is planned to replace one of the two episodes that were pre-empted by the writers strike. The bottom line is, not only is it returning, but you can also watch Lost online.

Lost is an intriguing series that has not only won awards, but there are even online fan clubs and online forums all based on the TV series, with a host of characters to make the island a real melting pot. If you have never seen an episode, you can go back to the beginning and watch Lost online. During the first episode you are introduced to Jack who is a Doctor as well as being a doctors son that carries a melodrama of it's own. Kate was a prisoner on the flight but her escort to whom she was hand cuffed did not survive the crash. Sayid is an Iraqi military vet with his own ghosts in his closet which he has to deal with. Then you have Locke who entered the plane in a wheel chair, and suddenly for some reason, (revealed during he episodes), he now has full use of his legs. Locke has a case full of knives and comes across as some kind of Rambo character, yet in his previous life on the mainland, he was a nerd. Charlie is a guitar player for a famous rock band, Hurley was a lottery winner who got his winning numbers from a friend in the psycho ward, and now he blames these numbers for his calamities and, low and behold a secret installation on this island also bears this same series of numbers. Then you have Sawyer who is a con man and Korean couple, Jin and Sun Kwon who is the daughter and son-in-law of a Korean Mafia man. Part of Jin's haunting past is the muscle he provided for his father in law.

As mystifying as the group of survivors of Oceanic flight 815 are, is the island itself. If you watch Lost online and go back to the beginning, you will learn that the island, due to some magnetic anomaly, appears to be uncharted though rather large It cannot be found without fate or knowledge that surpasses normal navigational control. Upon the island is a strange group of people who are gradually unraveled as the series and the seasons progress. On the island is a series of mystical installations called the Dharma project which may be related to the plane crash and may also potentially destroy the world. Where did the funding come from for the Dharma project? That goes back to a covert industrialist who seems to be trying to take over the island from the outside.

In summation, the series Lost is well worth watching. It is full of action, adventure, the unknown, and a host of characters that make the world turn.
