Fans need look no further than CBS's partnership with the NCAA. According to BusinessWire, sports fans are using the web more than ever before to catch their favorite sporting events. CBS and the NCAA are meeting the challenge head-on by providing fans with access to the games fans want, when they want, wherever they are.
CBS and the NCAA have partnered once again to bring fans March Madness On-Demand (MMOD), free online live-streaming coverage of each game of this year's NCAA tournament. If the fact that it's free isn't enough for you, here are a few more reasons to check out the MMOD website:
VIP Access. On a first-come-first-served basis, MMOD is offering exclusive VIP access to the games you want to watch. The website features a "waiting room" for anyone who signs up for the free service; here, fans must wait for the next available slot to get in on the online action. With VIP access, you move faster through the "waiting line" and get access faster to the games you want to see. After checking it out first-hand, I can assure you it's worth signing up for. I went from number 1,450 to number one in line in a matter of seconds.
Instant Archives. Games will be archived and available to be viewed minutes after the games end. This means if you want to watch a few different games, you can afford to miss one or two and watch them later. Archived games will be available until April 21st.
Broadband or Not, Get In on It! To watch the games, you must have broadband internet access. However, if you don't have broadband, you don't have to worry; you can still listen to the games through MMOD's live audio stream! It's a win-win!
So what do you need to do to get in on free, live-streaming, online NCAA action? It's actually very easy:
1. Go to www.ncaasports.com/mmod
2. Sign up for a free account. You're not signing up for anything you don't want, and they won't sell your information to anyone. Once you sign up, you're ready for instant access.
3. Bookmark the MMOD page. This way, whenever you're ready to check out the gaming action, you can log in instantly.
4. Be sure to check out the Boss Button. If you're watching at work (for shame!), you may want to utilize it if your boss is prone to poking in on your work. Check out this article to learn more about what's been called the Holy Grail of the blue-collar sports fan's need to watch!
5. Check out the games! It's that easy. You may want to check out the system specifications (available in the FAQ section) before getting started so you don't face any unforeseen confusion or problems. As long as your system is up to snuff, you are ready to roll! Enjoy your free March Madness NCAA action!
