Windows Vista is one of the most amazing operating system as compared to the other operating system in the line developed by Microsoft Corporation. This operating system is packed with a lot of new features like visual styling, new GUI (Graphical User Interface) and the wonderful aero feature that is responsible for all the beautiful effects in Windows Vista. Although, Windows Vista has a lot of astonishing features but here I am going to discuss about the incredible system clock.

You might be thinking what is incredible about a system clock that only shows date and time. But, my dear friend, the system clock of Windows Vista is a bit different that allows you to do a little more than just showing date and time. It allows you to show your name alongside the time in the right corner of the system tray. Although, adding your name in system clock looks pretty simple but it is possible that you might not be able to do it for the first time. So, I have written the instructions in a very friendly manner.

This trick is meant for users who are keen to experiment on their operating system. I recommend not using this trick as it might cause trouble with some applications as it modifies the regional settings for your operating system. You can put a maximum of 12 characters.

Click 'Start Menu' button on the lower left corner. Go to 'Settings' and Click 'Control Panel'. From the 'Control Panel' window, select 'Regional and Language Options'. You can also press 'R' button and then press Enter key.

From Regional and Language options window, click the "Customize this format" option. A 'Customize Regional Options' window will appear. From this window select the Time tab and there check out the 'Time' field

In order to add the name, make changes in the "AM" and "PM" field. Here, you can enter the name after AM or PM preceding the text with a `-` sign. You can also discard the `-` sign and directly type the name with or without a space.

I decided to enter 'Sate' in these 2 fields so that I can see AM or PM alongside the text. Finally, click 'Apply' and then click 'OK' button for the system to accept the changes. Also, click the 'OK' button on the Regional and Language options window to accept all the changes you have made.
