Private Practice is an Oceanside Wellness group with a controlled membership. In the series opener a new member is invited in by a friend without the consent of other members, but being a strong woman and having saved two lives during a birth, she is not willing to go peacefully and stands for her rights and grounds herself in the fact that she saved a couple lives. Those lives she saved may well have saved the Wellness group.

As of the writing of this article, the first episode was available to watch online all the way up to the current episodes. Some of the drama in the first episode includes the introduction of Dr Addison, (played by Kate Walsh), who is told she might get one or two patients a week. She was a world class Neo Natal surgeon from Seattle washington who left her job to come to Oceanside Wellness Group. Little did she know, her new job was not secure, in fact no one had voted on it, she was invited by one member who did not consult the rest of the group first. Before the episode is over she gets a young girl in who during birth, went into distress without enough time to wait for an ambulance, she makes the decision to operate right there in the clinic in an attempt to save the girl and her baby.

Perhaps one of the most touching scenes however involved Amy Brenneman, who plays a Psychiatrist by the name of Dr. Violet Turner. While on a small shopping trip, she finds one of her patients on her hands and knees in the store, counting all the little tiles on the floor. The store manager is ready to call the police, but Dr. Turner wards him off long enough to try to reach in to the problems of this distraught woman. A Mminute turns into hours, but some real insight into the womans problems are revealed and.... Well, all I can say is make sure your wife has some tissues handy. It was a very emotional and touching scene.

So far we have only watched one episode of this show then our interent connection went flakey, but there are several episodes available so you can watch Private Practice online. It is an interesting show with a mixed bag of professions from homeopathic specialists, to surgeons, to shrinks and wannabe's.
