What is Pushing Daisies? Pushing Daisies is a murder mystery type show with a crime that has to be solved and good writing they can most of the time keep you guessing as to who the criminal is. If you like Monk with his obsessive compulsive disorders and his germaphobic personality, you will probably like Pushing Daisies, only the OCD and germaphobia are exchanged for another new twist. Pushing Daisies is about a pie maker that owns his own little pie shop called the Pie Hole, but he has a magical gift. He can touch something that is dead and bring it back to life. There is a catch though, if he touches someone who is dead and brings them back to life for more than one minute, someone else must die in the dead persons place. Also, if he touches a person upon whom his magical touch brought back to life, then they will die again, only this time it is permanent and he cannot bring them back to life.

Next in line is a Private Investigator who discovered his ability and makes partners with his talents to raise dead victims to find out who their murderer is, then he must touch them a second time to insure someone else doesn't die. Again there is a catch in that most people do not know who killed them, thereby complicating the task, but clues can usually be gleaned from the dead person.

To make the show even more interesting, his childhood sweetheart gets murdered and after finding out, he touches her to bring her back to life to find her killer, but doesn't have the heart to touch her the second time. Now with his childhood sweetheart alive, they build a relationship, but they cannot kiss or touch because that would be her demise.

This is really a fun show to watch with a mixture of melodrama, characters and relationships with a complicated twist, and mystery with a touch of humor all in one.
