Watch Them Forever More!

The predator waits and watches.
His senses like built-in radar tells him which ones,
Which one…
WHICH little one…?
He watches, his breath ragged, his need is deep.
They say he despises himself - his acts.
I say it does not matter to his victims.
His plan is to take one home,
Like the pinkies snake owners
Feed to their serpent pets;
A mere sacrifice to his hunger.
Some people can spot him,
And you see them veer away,
Making no eye contact,
And never stopping to talk.
Then others -
Who seem to never notice,
Walk, chat and play -
All within his reach.
His plan does not include murder,
But once his hunger is fed,
The child that was born to be,
Will be erased from the face of the earth.
Replaced forever,
With a victim of his illness within.
There's no cure.
There's no control.
It's as ancient as mankind, itself.
And there is still no answer.
All that you can do is watch
And protect your own.
From the demon,
That might live right next door.
Watch your children.
Watch them forever more!
