Tonight I watched two episodes in rerun and for lack of control over the remote I heard every note. My observations so far may be trivial, but it's what stands out when I watch.
What man dosen't know that his wife is (or is not) pregnant and what woman on earth would really think she would get away with adopting a baby without her husband knowing about it? That story line is more appropriate for a daytime soap opera.
On the subject of pregnancy, Quinn bullies Finn into taking responsibility for a baby that isn't his and he does it without question. Wonderful show where teenagers sleep with multiple partners and are ever so popular for doing so.
Teachers don't get an hour for lunch. When Will and Emma go out and try on her wedding dress they have to hurry because they only have an hour for lunch. That and the echo chamber in the wedding dress store that make Emma sound like Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady made me roll my eyes.
What's with the Slurpees? I can entirely understand a student getting the bright idea to throw a slurpee at another student - once. Every day? There is no way a school (not to mention the custodian) is going to put up with multiple Slurpee slinging on a daily basis. Students would be suspended, Slurpees would be banned.
Sue the bully is out of control. No teacher can speak to students like that. She calls students "freaks", bullies them and abuses them. I understand she is supposed to be the bad guy, but no one can get away with that kind of behavior.
Kurt's father is surprised to find out he's Gay? Pot filled bake goods in school? The list goes on. Glee is a spoof of high school and the glee club but people watch it as if it is a reality show. Glee is just too bizarre for my tastes.

Post a CommentWhy does every TV show have to mimic real life??? It's a fictional TV show with fictional characters. Of course some of the things that happen on the show are surreal, so what? This is what makes it fun and just a way to a break from the real world. I think they bring important issues to light that kids face and relevant things. Glee is entertaining and I am not watching it for real life to be reflected back at me. Certaintly people who watch it are entertained by it and may find that they identify with the show, maybe not in every aspect but find some inkling in which they can relate.
