Water Has Been Discovered on Mars

George Brown
It is continually believed that there is no lifeforms on any other planet. People believe that humans are the smartest beings or organisms out there and it would no be possible for there to be any other sort of living creature that is able to surpass the mental capabilities as well as the physical capabilities of humans. What if this was proven wrong? What if scientist were able to prove that there are or were living organisms with the same or superior capabilities that humans have? Well, in the mere future, it may be discovered that there was or there are living organisms on that interesting red planet, Mars.

Recent NASA photographs have revealed bright new deposits seen in two gullies on Mars, suggesting that water has been carried through them within the past seven years.

Water, as we know it is necessary for life, so these new findings heighten the hopes that there is in fact life on Mars. The shapes of the deposits were shaped as though a liquid, such as water containing matter flowed over it and eroded the surface. The atmosphere of Mars is very thin, so people were questioning how it was possible that there was flowing water on the surface. Would it not just evaporate or freeze? Scientists believe that the water is coming from an underground resource. Once it reaches the surface, they believe that it has just enough time to flow a nice little distance before totally freezing.

New gullies on slopes are continually being discovered. In the future, scientists hope to change their ideas and thoughts about these gullies into facts. A startling discovery and one that raises many questions. Where did the atmosphere of Mars go and where did all the living organisms go? It is now believe that there were living organisms on Mars, maybe not intelligent organisms but nonetheless organisms. It is believed that their atmosphere was destroyed and the suns rays during the day and the lack of sun during the night, dropped and raised temperatures and killed all or almost all of everything that lived on the planet. This is a startling hypothesis, knowing that out atmosphere is becoming thinner and the threat of Global Warming is upon us. Only the future can tell what is in store for us. Will we be able to save our planet?
