Water: A Literal Reflection of Ourselves?

We all know that life as we know it cannot exist without water. Our whole lives, we've been taught that water is the most important of all fluids, and has the unique ability to exist naturally in all three states of matter - as a liquid, solid and gas. While most of us take water for granted, scientists have been working on uncovering its secrets. What is it that makes water different from all other substances? How does it react to outside influences? Does water hold secret messages just waiting to be uncovered? Is water literally a reflection of ourselves? Masaru Emoto, a Japanese scientist, has discovered the answers to all these questions.

Through the use of advanced photography techniques, Dr. Emoto has discovered that water's molecular structure is physically altered in reaction to its environment. However, the word "environment" here goes far beyond the physical world. By exposing water molecules to various words, music and even emotions, and then comparing their resulting molecular structures, Dr. Emoto has created a collection of photographs taken of water molecules under different influences. It is utterly remarkable how the crystalline structure varies depending on the type of language or emotion it is exposed to. For example, Dr. Emoto conducted an experiment in which he exposed water crystals to heavy metal music and threatening words. The crystalline structures in these cases became deformed and shapeless. On the other hand, crystals that were exposed to loving words and prayers formed beautiful and perfectly symmetrical structures. If you look at the photos on his website (listed at the bottom) you can see for yourself that the differences are astounding.

Being a skeptic myself, I figured that if Dr. Emoto could conduct experiments on water, so could I. So I decided to perform a tasting test to see how two separate glasses of water reacted to different emotions and words, and whether or not that would affect its taste. I instructed my brother to go in a separate room and speak kind and loving words to his glass of water. (Weird, right? But necessary.) Then I went into my own room and blasted hard rock over my speakers and, to make sure I was giving off the right vibes, proceeded to yell at my glass of water. After 15 minutes or so, my brother and I tasted each other's glasses of water. Believe it or not, his water tasted at least twice as good as mine! I encourage you to try the same experiment yourself, and perhaps you will come to the same conclusion that I did - that if we expose ourselves to good environments, our overall health will improve due to the effect that environment has on the water that makes up 70% of our bodies. There is so much we can learn about ourselves through water.
