Water conservation is a big thing and it's for a good reason. Water is essential for any living being yet the amount of clean water is incredibly limited. Saving water is the best solution you can do to help yourself and the environment. You can start conserving water from your toilet and here are some gadgets that you can use to do just that.

1. Toilet Fill Valve

A fill valve is easy to install and the water saving you can get is real. With a fill valve you can set the amount of water that fills the tank. You can do this easily using the dial on top of the valve. Overfilling can waste lots of water and even though you can set the water fill manually it's a lot easier if you use a fill valve. A fill valve can also save water on each flush. The amount of water saving per flush varies between thirty to sixty ounces depending on the type of the toilet. Older toilet tends to waste lots of water so this tool can save significant amount of water.

2. Toilet Leak Detecting Tablets

For many people plumbing leaks are major problem. Not only they waste significant amount of water they also costly to repair if you want a professional plumber to do it. The tablets are basically solid dye. You drop them in the water tank, wait a few minutes and see if the color shows up somewhere. If the color does show up then you just find the culprit. Now it is up to you if you want to fix it yourself or let someone else to take care of it.

3. Dual-Flush Converter

You have to admit it dual-flush toilet is a smart "green" invention. It saves lots of water because you don't have to empty the tank when you only need to flush down your pee. But what if your old toilet doesn't have dual-flush feature? Should you buy a new one? Don't worry, there's a cheaper and easier solution for you it's called a dual-flush converter. You can easily install it for your old toilet without removing the tank. Once you got it installed you just got yourself a dual-flush toilet without having to spend hundreds on a new one (plus the installation and everything).

4. Water Displacement Bladder Bag

This is a bag that you put into your toilet tank. You have fill it with water first of course. It works by "tricking" your toilet that the tank is full where in fact some of the water is in the bag. Since the tank has less water it reduces the amount of water when you flush. Whether you have an old or modern toilet this bag can really help conserving water.

I have installed a HydroRight. The unit was really easy to install and I didn't need any tools. We are now saving a lot of water that was being wasted. We love the low flow flush. Thanks MJSI!

Talking about water saving and money saving toilet products, look no further than MJSI. They produce the HydroClean fill valve that conserves water and detects leaks. Plus, it will keep the toilet tank clean! MJSI also has the HydroRight dual flush converter. This unit costs around $20 and turns your older toilet into a water saving and money saving dual flush model! No need to buy a new, high price toilet. I highly recommend MJSI toilet products.
