Water that has been charged, or blessed, also has been shown to have different effects, and my DVD set, Interpersonal Dynamics of the Aura documents a bit of those experiments. When drinking water we had charged, or someone else had charged, in a blind study, Carolyn Christy, the extraordinary aura viewer, was able to see easily that our auras would bounce out suddenly to be much wider, bright, more substantial. Charging water can be done by putting your right hand on top of the glass or container, preferably with no lid, and the left hand on the bottom, and closing your eyes, turning them upwards far, far up. Imagine you are looking into your top levels of your aura, the chakras above our head, the part of you that links up directly with The Source, and bring that source energy down through you, into you, as you, flowing out from you, and into the water. Love the water, appreciate it, heal it, enhance it, raise its frequency and make it more structured. See it glowing, joyful. You've done something nice for the water itself, and for yourself or whoever drinks it. This in itself is Tantric, but if you do this before you do Tantric exercises, by yourself or with a partner, you will most likely feel much more Prana move through your body. My DVD, (Tantra with the World, takes you through the process of charging water, if you need guidance.)
You should drink a lot of water when doing Tantra anyway, to be healthy to begin with, but also to allow more of an electromagnetic charge to move through you. You want to be like a magnet, or a battery, and the poles of the body become depolarized when we are dehydrated. When our polarity is off, even kinesiology won't give us accurate answers. That tells us we aren't relating to the world properly, and we aren't giving ourselves the proper answers when we seek visions with our third eye chakras, or align with the flow to intuitively do what we should do next. Taking the time to do Tantra without making the effort to fully hydrate ourselves is not an effective use of our time. A dampened down energy system is not going to go soaring through the cosmos, and Tantra should be dramatically euphoric, vividly full of geometric shaped visions and exploding insights and pulsing urges of divine creativity.
We can even charge our bath water, and can put a little salt in it if we want to detoxify our auras. It's important not to use too much salt in the bath if we want to avoid dehydration. And nice for our skin if we rinse off before we get out. Salt baths are good for cleansing other people's negative energy off our auras, as it will stick if we don't washing it away, just as we would wash our skin. The aura is just the outer layers of our skin, in a way, harder for some people to see, but just as real. In Tantra, we want to be pure and clear, for ourselves, and for our partners, if we are going to be exchanging energy with them. Drinking and bathing in charged water makes us much cleaner, and thus manifesting more straightforward energies in our lives rather than a tangled mass of various people's frequencies broadcasting from our aura.
Water is important to drink 8 glasses a day of to have extra energy for our practice, for being healthy in every possible way, for looking attractive, for clear thinking, for being in a good mood and being able to feel the Tantric bliss. Being dehydrated, even mildly, causes irritation, lethargy, edema, allergies, poor vision, aching, excess hunger, lowered metabolism, lowered immune system function, loose skin, hiatal hernias, constipation, low back pain and swelling, adrenal fatigue, and much more. So being hydrated should be a given, if we are doing what we can to live spectacularly through Tantra. We want to be hydroelectric creatures with the proper PH to move energy between the acid and alkaline polarity within our system.
Most importantly, water needs to be drunk in abundance is Tantra is working for you to do its job of raising the Kundalini. Though raising the Kundalini is actually rare, it does occasionally happen, and it is very dehydrating when it does, as it is a stress on the body, which is always depleting of the water supply. Kundalini gone wrong is often going off on the right side rather than being balanced by the left, which is the more watery side. Symptoms of Kundalini which are unpleasant are often related to the dehydration its raising causes in people who aren't able to drink enough to catch up. People who are lightworkers are also said to use up their water in their bodies through their healing work.
In Tantra, water is used to clean the nostrils. To do this, fill a Neti pot, which has a spout, with salty water. Hold it in the left hand, put your chin down, and tilt your head toward the right. Put the spout of the Neti pot in your left nostril, keeping your mouth open. Raise the cup. The water will go in the left nostril and into the right nostril and flow out. Change hands and repeat on the other side.
A water ritual common to tantra is Achamanam, during pujas and other rituals. Traditionally, water is poured into the right hand three times from a spoon (uddharini). The Tantrika looks into the water, becomes the water, which reflects the pure spirit, and flows as part of a whole Tattwa, part of the continuum, adapting to what it flows over, endlessly, purely. The water is blessed with a mantra, and the self is given to the water, which functions as a witness in the sense of psychotronics, so that giving the self to the water is giving ourselves to that which it represents, the whole, the oceanic divine, the flow. And we are made primarily of water, so if we are doing the puja, we are giving ourselves to ourselves. We drink the blessed water from the palm. This symbolizes a new beginning, like a baptism, being reborn as our true divine selves in the moment. This drinking is done three times.
The lower belly chakra, Swadhisthana, is considered to be related to water, and having it open can create oceanic feelings of flowing with the world of pleasure, love, and sensuality. It is not related to the sexual organs, which come under the influence instead of the Sacral and Pubic Chakras. It is related to socializing, our place in the community. As we move our energies up along the chakras, unblocking them, developing them, spinning them in better harmony, we will move through the water Tattwa, and experience something akin to a bath of bliss. However, we may also experience a lot of emotional turmoil in the process, as the watery chakra also rules the astra level of the aura, which holds our emotions and emotionally charged memories within it. Immersing ourselves in a body of water, even in imagination, and flowing our stuck emotions out into it to float away can help us release and be in the moment.
A common Kundalini Tantric exercise is the floating exercise, good for beginners especially, helpful for being one with the flow of life. It is said to help attain the skills of astral projection, clairvoyance, and peacefulness.
First, slow your breath down as much as possible, ideally to one breath a minute. Imagine lying nude on a raft, floating on a river, and just imagine yourself going downstream, in great vivid detail.
Water in Tantra helps us become one with the moisture of everything in our atmosphere, our own moisture merging with it as the molecules exchange, their intelligence intact, as we are sipped from the hands of love.
