those eyes that smile
make me want to sin
thoughts of you and i
and what could have been
where was i looking
what mode was i in
busy looking elsewhere
when it should have been within
i should have listened
and slowed my life down
taken the time to pursue you
instead of running the town
not looking at the map
until i got lost
time has passed me by and
now i pay the cost
