It didn't matter whether you were playing down South
Or maybe you were jazzing in Jamaica or Egypt
Nobody could mistake your sound
Big man on that bass guitar
What was even bigger was your legacy
Now I look back at songs
Grateful that in your short forty even years you left so much
Maybe you don't walk here anymore
Now you are looking down on this humanity
Your job is done
Now we have your basketball court memories
And I turn down the sound and play your jazz
it hurts when you lose your jazz friends
the good Lord knows
but keep watch over us Wayman
And I'll keep my ears open
listening man for that signature sound.
(in memory of basketball Superstar and bass guitar jazzman Mr. Wayman Tisdale)

Post a CommentThis comment is more or less a reflection on our beloved songstress Whitney Houston that has went on to join our Lord. I felt that like Mr. Tisdale ...Whitney had signature too a voice that only could have been Heaven sent now she has returned and we love and miss her.
