Ways to Make a Bridal Ring Pillow for a Wedding

The bridal ring pillow can be made in different ways. Most are white with white lace which is fine but there are other tips on making the wedding ring pillow. They can be made in different shapes and sizes. The shape of the pillow can be a heart, circle or square. The size should not be any larger than 12 inches. Actually 8 to 12 inches is a good size. A sheet of construction paper or poster board is needed to make the pattern. A sewing machine to attach it together.

These are items that are needed to make a wedding or bridal ring pillow. First a piece of cotton material is needed. There will need to be filling for the pillow. This can be foam, cotton, polyfil or quilt batting. Then a large piece of lace enough to cover the top of the pillow. Next a piece of lace to put around in the seam of it. Ribbon add another great look.

The cotton material could be a pillow case since they can be purchased in a set at most department stores. White is the usual color. But there are other choices. The color can be the same as the maid of honors dress or the bridesmaid dresses. Another idea would be to use white with a different color lace on top and sides. Then again the pillow can be a different color with white lace. Either way if using a ribbon it would be a good idea to be sure it matches the rest of the pillow. The size of ribbon would depend on the size of the wedding or bridal ring pillow.

After deciding the color of all the items needed then purchase everything to get started. After deciding the shape cut out the pattern. Take the material and fold it in half to make two sides. Place the pattern on the color choice of the cotton material to cut two. Then use the same pattern to cut one of the lace to cover the front. Now take the lace for the sides around the wedding pillow for the length that is needed then cut. When cutting the ribbon cut it long enough for a bow with the ends hanging over the pillow.

Next cut all the pillow pieces out. Take one piece of the material with the piece of lace and sew them together close to the edge. Then turn the lace side down on the other piece. Now turn the side piece of lace inward to the inside edge to sew. Then pin down to secure. Sew around the edge all but about four inches on one side double stitch back to hold. Turn the material out to the right side. Take the filling then place it inside be sure not to put a lot or to much. Only put enough to give it some plumpness. Not so much the rings will not lay on it. After filling the pillow then sew the open side.
