Ways to Decorate Candles and Containers

These are some of the things to use when decorating the candle. Candle wax and gel along with containers can be purchased at any craft store. Also containers can be bought at Dollar Trees, Thrift Stores and the Goodwill. Any kind or size container will work. Of course if placing something inside of the wax or for decorating a clear glass is best. Also the clear gel wax would be used.

Other items that could be used to create pretty decorated candles are small plastic flowers. Some different characters such football helmets are nice, also Disney characters, a small tractor, doll are very cute. The item being used should be made out of something that will not melt. Make sure the container is taller than the items to be placed inside the it. There are several different things that can be placed on the clear vessel. A rub-on as well as stickers can be used. The rub-on can be from pictures to letters just be sure that it won't cover the whole jar. It should be something that will look neat. Other items needed are oil perfume and wicks. All these can be purchased at most all craft stores, Some may be bought at Dollar Stores.

This is a way to recycle candles. Take the part of the candle that is not burnt at the bottom and scrap it from the jar or whatever. Then put it in a large dish or something to collect until there is enough to make the candle that is desired. It doesn't matter if the candles are colored they will mix to make another color. If any of these are scented there won't be enough to make any difference.

The cooking container will need to be one with no plans to use again. When ready to start making the candle place the wax into a old saucepan. Put it on a burner on med-lo until all the wax is melted. If placing something in the wax it will need to be gel wax. Sit the item into the wax after pouring it in the glass container along with the wick now position it in a cool area to cool. Now if creating a scented candle add the oil perfume into the wax to give a smell. It is better to leave the perfume out of the gel wax because the two doesn't mix well.

Next to decorate the solid color or clear candle jar, cup, vessel or whatever has been chosen to use. Just take the rub-on, stickers then stick the to the container. If using stickers a little glue will help it attach to the candle holder more effectively.

All of the candles and/or containers can be decorated for boys, girls men or women. The decorated candle when finished makes a beautiful gift for a loved one or anyone.
