Ways to Eliminate Pre-Conception Stress

Sometimes pregnancy doesn't occur as quickly as a couple expects. If this sounds like you, you may want to consider ways to eliminate pre-conception stress. Often stress can be a huge hindrance on a couples chances of conceiving a baby. It is important to keep your stress levels low if you are trying to conceive, other wise you may not get the desired results. There are several things you can do to eliminate pre-conception stress.

If you are trying to conceive for the first time, remember that sex should not ever be considered something one has to do. It should be enjoyable and emotional every time, whether you are trying to conceive or not. Keep the passion between you and your spouse alive and this will lower the stress level of both involved.

Consider yoga exercises prior to conception. Yoga is a relaxing activity that is said to stress relieving and also beneficial. This can be something you and your spouse do together.

Make sure you and your spouse are both on the same page when it comes to trying to have a baby. Don't put any additional stress on your partner. Both the man and the women need to be comfortable in order to eliminate pre-conception stress.

Consider your diet prior to trying to conceive. You would be surprised how eating a diet filled with healthy foods can reduce and eliminate stress levels. Make a lifestyle change for both you and your spouse. Being healthy can help reduce the levels of stress in both of your lives.

Consider adding a daily exercise regimen to your routine. Exercise has been proven to help eliminate stress. When you exercise you give your body a chance to release pent up energy. Consider exercising with your spouse so both of you can eliminate stress.

Another stress relieving activity is breathing deeply. Taking deep breaths is a great way to relax and can be very stress relieving. By taking the time to practice deep breathing techniques you add more oxygen to you blood and reduce the amount of stress in your life.

Meditation may help couples deal with pre-conception stress. You may choose to take a class to learn proper meditation techniques or search online for information on meditation. Meditation may also be done by simply sitting in a relaxed position, clearing your mind of all the trouble of life and breathing deeply. Relaxation will flood though your body and you will be ready to begin trying to conceive and what awaits you in the months to come.

A technique some may consider a little over the edge is creative visualization. This can work for some as a great way to eliminate stress. Visualize yourself in a relaxing place surrounded by calm and relaxing things. You know what is calm and relaxing to you and this may be different for everyone. Some may choose a rainforest while others choose a nice spot on the beach. The jist of creative visualization is to find a relaxing situation and picture yourself there. This can help eliminate pre-conception stress.

Take a vacation and get back to the basics of your love and emotions. Take a time out from trying to get pregnant and go on vacation. Remember when you were dating and things were all groovy. Take a time out and keep the passion alive.

Stop trying so hard to conceive. Often the stress of just trying to get pregnant can cause a rift in the relationship. Stop trying so hard and let nature take its course. Just when you are least expecting it, you may find yourself pregnant.
