The first step to improve computer performance is to regularly run anti-virus and anti-adware programs. These programs will help protect your computer from viruses, malware, Trojans, and all sorts of other programs that will slow down your PC and interfere with its processes. If not properly protected it could also mean losing valuable data from your hard drive(s) on top of having a slow performing computer. These programs are absolutely necessary for any computer as without them there is a strong possibility you might end up having to buy a brand new PC.
The second step to improving computer performance and keeping it at a high level is to regularly use the scandisk and disk defragment tools. These tools optimize computer speed by organizing all data on the hard drive(s) so it can be easily accessed when needed without the need for the processor to search through the hard drive(s). This problem is inevitable as each time new data is added it has to be organized for the computer to run well. Therefore this step is also one which is essential for improving computer performance. The good thing about this step is that the programs can be started and left to run overnight as they are fully automated.
The third and final step which will be discussed is the registry of a computer and how to maintain it. This part of the computer is just like an essential organ of the body, for example the heart. If something goes wrong there the whole system will lose its ability to function correctly. Over time and with constant use clutter and junk will inevitably accumulate in the system registry. This creates problems because Windows will not be able to function with a registry that is full of junk and not properly organized. Symptoms will be overall slow performance and stuttering. This problem like the rest can be easily solved by using a decent registry tool program on a regular basis. The solution is easy and cheap, there are many free registry tools available on the internet for download which are easy to use and very effective at improving computer performance.
If all of these guidelines to improving computer performance are followed regularly most users will find their pc's to be running faster than before. Keeping a computer clean and organized is essential for it to run well and without problems. The task is quite simple so it is definitely worth it to take the time and make sure you have and use all the mentioned programs frequently for a well performing PC.
